QUALITY MANAGER
SUMMARY
The Quality Manager is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle support to our 110,000 sq ft manufacturing facility. Primary duty consists of managing and directing the Quality control function for the company to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. \
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs
- Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products
- Cooperates with other top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals
- Reviews technical publications, articles, and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in industry
- Conducts new employee orientation and training for department
- Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards
- Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process
- Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures
- Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality
- Responds to Customer returns and 8D requests.
- Directly supervises employees in the quality control and metallurgical laboratory
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws including, but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Flexible and willing to take on new tasks; team player with a can-do attitude

- Knowledge of mathematics with analytical abilities
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations

- May be frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- 4-year Degree and five years of Quality experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
